A few months back, I was tired of the ridiculously slow waits I had to endure when migrating data above 1TB, typically I have to migrate or back up between 1 and 2 tbs of Files. This usually happens during backups, data migration and so forth. Using usb 2.0 devices, it takes approximately 26hrs or more for this migration to successfully complete and the more my network increases in use, I know I have to expect even more data to administer.

Every multimedia System needs a feature packed and more importantly intuitive UI that'll allow all level of users to easily navigate and access their media resources in a convenient fashion. While deciding to create the Zi Networks Media Framework, I was predisposed to using Web Based Applications due to their ubiquity and portability. At this current time, the availability of several projects haven't allowed me the time to develop a customized application and due to the time-consuming nature of coding, I decided to use the available packages around to help me get started off quickly.

The HTPC front (my personal favorite) has seen some increased participation in the last couple of months and it seems the number of contenders in this category would only increase with time, which is a good thing. At CES this year there were very feature packed products from various companies which all had the capacity, e.g. the ASUS EB1501 which we previously discussed and other generic packages as well.

I was looking for a way to create a multimedia platform to centralise all multimedia in my life. The idea of duplicating media on multiple computers were solved when I implemented a Linux File server, but there were certain scenarios that the event didn't fully solve.

They finally did it!! It was a normal day (or so I thought) so I decided to fire on my ps3 and as usual get some online XP for Modern Warfare 2, when I was notified to update. I thought this was a little strange so I went online to check the newest update. Surprisingly, it was 3.15, the current one I was using. Later probing exposed that this was a special update for ps3 Phats that was meant to remove access to the Other OS feature.
